GTA 6 Launch Trailer Song 'Flower in a Hurricane' Debuts on the Billboard Hot 100

'Flower in a Hurricane,' the Justice song that soundtracks the GTA 6 launch trailer, has debuted at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main U.S. singles chart. The track, which teams the French duo with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, appears on the chart dated October 31, 2026, Billboard announced on October 26.

Where did 'Flower in a Hurricane' debut on the Billboard Hot 100?

The song enters the Hot 100 at No. 62. According to Luminate data cited by Billboard, it earned 4.6 million official U.S. streams, 1 million in radio airplay audience and 1,000 sales during the October 16–22 tracking week. That window lines up exactly with the first days after the GTA 6 launch trailer went live on October 15, the same day the track hit streaming services.

The Hot 100 isn't the only chart it cracked. Billboard reports that 'Flower in a Hurricane' also debuts at No. 2 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, No. 13 on Hot Alternative Songs and No. 21 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs. It also enters the radio-based Alternative Airplay chart at No. 39.

Why is this a milestone for King Gizzard?

The cult Australian indie rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard had never placed a song on the Hot 100 before. GTA 6 gives the group its first-ever entry on the chart, as well as its first appearance on a Billboard radio chart, the magazine notes. The story was picked up widely by the music press, from Consequence to Rolling Stone.

For Justice, it's a second Hot 100 entry. The duo previously charted with its guest spot on The Weeknd's 'Wake Me Up,' which peaked at No. 45 in 2025, Billboard points out.

Which GTA 6 songs have already made the Hot 100?

'Flower in a Hurricane' is the ninth song released from 'GTA VI: The Album,' the 34-track compilation due November 19, the same day as the game. According to Billboard, two other singles reached the Hot 100 before it: Morgan Wallen's 'Last Thing You Need,' which peaked at No. 9, and Travis Scott's 'Rhyno,' which peaked at No. 84.

Don't confuse it with the game's original score, which Justice also composed: on October 29, Rockstar confirmed that score will release on December 11, led by the single 'Pusher' with Gesaffelstein.

What does this say about GTA 6's music?

Music has always been central to Rockstar's games, from Vice City in 2002 to the radio stations of GTA V. But no previous entry in the series saw its songs climb the charts before the game even came out. Three weeks ahead of launch, a single trailer was enough to push a song onto the Hot 100, a sign of just how massive the audience for GTA 6 videos is.

For players, the numbers are also a preview of how big a role music will play in the game, which will feature its own radio stations such as Flash FM. GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
