GTA 6 Pre-Orders Hit 7.71 Million and $751 Million, According to Sensor Tower
Sensor Tower's latest estimates put GTA 6 at roughly 7.71 million digital pre-orders and about $751 million in revenue, more than $120 million up from two weeks ago.
© Rockstar Games Two weeks before launch, GTA 6 has reportedly racked up around 7.71 million digital pre-orders, generating an estimated $751 million in revenue. Those are the latest estimates from analytics firm Sensor Tower, reported on November 4, 2026 by Dexerto, GamingBolt and VGTimes. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has confirmed the figures.
How many pre-orders does GTA 6 have?
According to Sensor Tower's tracking, GTA 6 now stands at around 7.71 million digital pre-orders across PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The firm attributes about 5.74 million to PlayStation and 1.97 million to Xbox, a 74/26 split.
The momentum is striking. In its previous snapshot in mid-October, Sensor Tower put the total at 6.45 million pre-orders and about $630 million, as we covered in our report on the $630 million milestone. That means the game added roughly 1.26 million reservations in just over two weeks, a noticeably faster pace than in early October. The announcement of the November 10 preload and the approaching launch appear to have given pre-orders a fresh boost.
How much money has GTA 6 already made?
Sensor Tower estimates those pre-orders are worth about $751 million: roughly $559 million on PlayStation and roughly $192 million on Xbox. Divided by the number of reservations, that works out to an average of about $97 per pre-order, which suggests a large share of players went for the Ultimate Edition, broken down in our GTA 6 pre-order guide.
These are amounts paid by players, not what the publisher keeps after platform fees. At this rate, several outlets are floating the symbolic $1 billion mark before launch, but that is only a projection.
How does GTA 6 compare to GTA 5?
In September 2013, Take-Two announced that GTA 5 had generated more than $800 million worldwide in its first 24 hours, then crossed $1 billion in three days. GTA 6 is closing in on that first record before it even launches, on digital pre-orders alone.
The comparison isn't perfect: GTA 5's numbers are official and include physical sales, while GTA 6's are estimates limited to digital. Still, it shows just how much anticipation surrounds the game, echoed by other signals such as the record purchase intent measured by Circana in the US.
Are these numbers reliable?
They should be taken with caution. Sensor Tower doesn't have access to Rockstar's sales data: its figures are built with its own measurement tools, and its methodology isn't publicly detailed. They only cover digital pre-orders on the PlayStation and Xbox stores, so physical editions reserved at retailers aren't counted. The real number of pre-orders is therefore likely higher.
The first official numbers could arrive soon: Take-Two is set to report its quarterly results on November 9, ten days before the game launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
